Dojo Kobushi Amsterdam started in 1997 by mr.F. Nagashima and was created for the Japanese community in Amsterdam and Amstelveen. The Netherlands Shin Kyokushin Organisation asked one of his founders, sensei Roel de Lange, to take over this dojo
because of mr.F. Nagashima’s leave to Japan. The training is every saturday afternoon
on the University Sport Centre in Amsterdam. Roel de Lange has a large expierence of Kyokushinkai and trained more than 10 years together with the members of the Dutch selection team. He became 1 dan in 1990, 2 dan in 1992 and 3 dan in 1998.
In 1997 he became his certificate as a teacher martial arts on the Academy Physically Education in Amsterdam, member of F.O.G./ N.O.C.*N.S.F. In 2003 he became the honourable title of Branch Chief from Japan, because he trained over 200 students.
Every World Championship in Tokyo, he is asked to come to Japan and brings out his vote for the Netherlands for the world organisation. The international Shinkyokushin Organisation in Japan, after an unanimous decision, awarded him with his 4 dan in 2008. Under his resposibility is the training since 2005 also located at the Barlaeus Gymnasium on monday and wednesday evening.
